Boot Logo’s Galore!
Jul 29th
So after some time of trying to implement a boot logo to the rom build (still not sure why it’s not working for me). I decided I would create a flashable kind. Sure enough, we’ve got 3 custom Titanium X boot logos on the SDX and AMS site’s for download. More will come but I’m working on multiple things at the moment so it is slowing some stuff down.
If you have a specific idea for a Titanium X boot logo, please feel free to share it with us.
Titanium X 1.2 JIT and Non-JIT
Jul 29th
After some debate on where to go with things from the discontinuation of the “Ultimate” edition. DC13 and I decided it was best if we stick to building a powerful, slim rom for people to customize the way they see fit. So we’ve decided at this time there will be a JIT version for the outstanding power we all know and love. And the Non-JIT version for longer lasting battery power with a good feel. However, that’s not to say that we might have some tricks up our sleeves with releasing some sort of bundle.
So expect more great things from Titanium X.
Ultimate Edition Discontinued!
Jul 19th
After some irregular problems with the release version of Ultimate, we’ve decided to halt the production of the large version ROM. It will allow us to focus on creating a more streamlined, lite weight ROM that is extremely fast and stable.
However, we are looking into doing a JIT and non-JIT version of the rom.
Stay tuned for the Titanium X 1.2 announcement.
Hooray! Boot animations to save the day!
Jul 13th
After some fairly tedious trial and error of getting boot animations to work as a flashable zip, I’ve successfully done it and now have 3 different Titanium X boot animations available for download. Yes yes I know… Making a flashable boot animation isn’t THAT hard. But I overlooked a few things that were just sort of simple mistakes.
So at least now all of you Titanium X users that have themed the ROM and lost the great boot animation, you can flash our boot animation back on and feel the power of our ROM even in our boot animation. Ok, I know our boot animation doesn’t provide any power or anything, but it “looks” powerful, yet simple.
Titanium X 1.1 Ultimate
Jul 13th
It just sounds great doesn’t it… Titanium, a great metal… X … Well, lots of things that are cool start with X. The version 1.1 means that a lot of things are polished out… But Ultimate, wow! We’re talking greatness here.
Ok… So the lead in is a bit crazy I know. But we’ve been getting a lot of people wanting to know what we’re going to do for a big rom. And heaven forbid that we don’t please our loyal users.
So the full added app list is:
Where’s my Android
Spare Parts
AdFree
GPS Tracker
Fancy Widget
Google Voice
Google Goggles
Google Sky Maps
Barcode Scanner
Linpack
HandCent SMS
StartupManager
Advanced Task Killer (free)
JuiceDefender
Wifi Tether
Astro
Connectbot
Colornote
Rootexplorer
YouTube HQ
So we’ve added a few things. It’s stable, it’s working great, it’s tested. And we’re sure a lot of you will love it. Feel free to place requests or suggestions here.
Titanium X – 1.1 “Big” ROM
Jul 9th
So a lot of people have been asking for the “Big” ROM, and what’s going to be in it. Well, for starters, we’re not sure if we’re going to call it “Big” ROM. We’re debating on the naming scheme for the different builds. But that’s the easy part. But as far as applications go, here’s a sneak peak into what we’ll be including with the build.
Astro
Advanced Task Killer
Startup Manager
Adfree
Connectbot
GPS Tracker
Handcent SMS
Root Explorer
swFTP
Where’s my droid
Robo Defence
I know most of that is pretty typical of a build, but those aren’t the entire list. We will be producing a version with LauncherPro, as well as a version with the stock home Launcher, which will allow easier customizing with Titanium X. I’m also trying very hard to get a separate boot animation update.zip that will allow users or Titanium X to theme their phone, but still be able to keep the Titanium X boot animation. You also may see a boot logo in the near future as well. Of course we’ll stick with the simple but nice looking Titanium X style that you all know and love, and not try to go overboard with it.
Also as a side taste for your Titanium X buds, DC13 is looking into improving graphics performance for 1.2. But don’t wait to install the ROM if you’re hesitating and waiting for 1.2, install 1.1 as it’s proven to be extremely stable with JIT, great memory performance, and a growing heavily supported ROM.
